PTA MEETINGS:
Our first meeting will be on
September 29th, 2016

PLUSS MEETINGS:
Parent Leaders United for Snohomish Students (PLUSS) in simple terms is like a parent meeting for the whole district. It is not a PTA, PTO or parent group meeting. It is a meeting of parents from all of the schools in the district along with district staff. This is a great place to hear what the district is working on, what the concerns of other parents are or simply what is happening in our district. Please consider attending one of these meetings if you would like to have first hand knowledge of what is going on around the Snohomish School District.
The first PLUSS meeting will be in October.

Meet the CVE PTA Board
Wendy Dalpiaz: Co-President
Wendy has 3 kids- Lyda is in 4th grade here at Cascade View and she has a son at Centennial Middle School and one that graduated last year. Wendy is a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Providence Everett.
Shelly Goss: Co-President
Shelly has 3 kids- Aislyn is a 6th grader in Mrs. Martin's class, Isaac will be in 2nd grade and Ensley will be 5 soon. She is a stay at home mom and also runs a hardwood flooring business with her husband.
Becka Cruze: Co-VP
Becka has 4 kids, 3 of which attend Cascade View. Jordan is in Mrs. Martin's class, Kalum is in 3rd grade, Addison will be in 1st grade and Lincoln will start Kindy next year. Becka is a stay at home mom and has a Young Living business.
Olga Flores: Co-VP
Olga has 3 kids- Samuel is in Mrs. Martin's 4/5/6 class. Her youngest, James will be in 1st grade this year and her oldest starts 7th grade at Centennial. Olga stays at home with her kids and helps her husband run a painting company.
Ashley Ratcliff: Co-Secretary
Ashley has 3 kids, Lilly will be in 4th grade, Delaney in 1st grade and hery youngest, Sydney, is in preschool.
Ashley is a stay at home mom and also has a homemade sign business.
Carolyn Welch: Co-Secretary
Carolyn has 3 kids, Mallery will be in 5th grade, Rheagan will be in 3rd and Treavor will be in 1st grade. Carolyn is a stay at home mom and also has a Rodan and Fields Skincare business.
Casey Trayler: Treasurer
Casey has 2 kids, Nic and Luc, both go to Machias Elementary. She has been at Machias for 2 years, but she spent 4 years at CVE before moving. She was the President and the treasurer before she moved. We are lucky to have her back in such a critical role as our treasurer. |

Hello Cascade View Families,
Summer is almost over and the first day of school is just days away. We want to welcome every Cascade View family back to school. We have spent a great deal of time over the summer planning and preparing for this upcoming year. We are excited for all of the new possibilties that this year brings, most importantly our new Principal!

Kindy Orientation 8/31 3:30pm
Mrs. Ross and Miss Mulder will be hosting a Kindergarten Orientation for all incoming Kindy students. This will be a chance for parents and children to meet the kindy teachers and hear what the year has in store.
If you know of a family that will be new to our school please invite them to attend. |
Ice Cream Social, Meet the Teacher and Back to School BBQ 9/1
The PTA will be hosting its 8th Annual Ice Cream Social from 4 to 5pm. Come enjoy some free ice cream before you go meet your teacher. At 4:30, students will be welcome to go meet their teacher and see their new classroom. Then everyone is welcome to stay after for the 1st ever Back to School BBQ from 5 to 6:30pm. The BBQ is just $5 per person. |
First Day of School 9/7 8:35am
The first day of school will be September 7th. So enjoy those last few days of summer fun! |
Kindy 1st Day 9/12 8:35am
With the first year of state mandated All-Day Kindergarten comes some changes. One being a delayed start to the school year. So for all of those little Kindy kids school won't start until September 12th. |
Curriculum Night 9/22 6pm
Curriculum night is a time to come and hear what your child's teacher has planned for the year. It will also give you a chance to asked any questions you may have. Mark your calendars. |
1st PTA Meeting 9/29 6:30pm
Our first PTA meeting of the year will be September 29th at 6:30pm in the gym. We will be hosting a family style dinner. Please join us to hear about what we have planned for the year. Mr. Lenseigne, our new principal will also be there if you have not had a chance to meet him. |
WatchDOGS Kickoff 10/5
With a new year comes a new opportunity for all of our Dad's, Grandpa's and father figures to become a part of our awesome WatchDOGS program. As a "Dad of Great Students", men have the chance to work in the classrooms with the kids as well as play out on the playground.
FREE pizza will be served. Dad's will be able to sign up to volunteer, update or turn in a Volunteer packet and get their background check.
Kids are welcome!
